Founded in 1994 by Interior Designer, Rayman Boozer, Apartment 48 is the realization of a dream. Wanting to share his creative vision and retail concept with the world, Rayman opened the shop in NYC's Flatiron District. Using room specific décor, the original shop was laid out to look like an actual apartment, a theme he continued to use in the shop's second location. Over the years, Apartment 48 has been featured in House Beautiful, Elle Décor, W, Vogue, Domino, and the NY Times. It has been a destination for New Yorkers and numerous travelers from around the globe. After 16 years we decided to close the store and increase our presence on the web.
Apartment 48 takes an organic approach to home furnishings; mixing vintage furniture with exotic accessories from France, Morocco and India. With a strong European influence and roots in rural America, our distinct displays and selection of merchandise will never fail to surprise and make you feel at home in the world. We offer beautiful home goods, and the occasional bit of inspiration. Now with a new and expanding web presence we continue the tradition that Apartment 48 started in its conception; the pursuit of the world's best pieces brought to you to discover.
